Music for Carrot Productions’ Wallace & Gromit: In Concert show. New material commissioned by Aardman and arrangements of the original scores.
In 2018, Carrot Productions approached Aardman Productions with a view to showing one of the Wallace & Gromit films together with a live orchestra.
Julian Nott, the composer, forwarded a handwritten score for The Wrong Trousers. This was written before the film sessions and quite a lot of changes had obviously been made during the recordings. So, with the help of various manuscripts, watching the films countless times and a bit of imagination, Daniel managed to recreate the scores for A Grand Day Out, The Wrong Trousers, A Close Shave and A Matter Of Loaf And Death.
Wallace & Gromit: In Concert
In 2019, Carrot Productions toured with Wallace & Gromit’s Musical Marvels, a concept originally created for the Wallace & Gromit BBC Prom in 2012.
It has now been rewritten with new material by Daniel Whibley, including a duet for Gromit (on violin) and cello, a stunning arrangement of Clair de Lune accompanying scenes featuring Wallace’s many love interests, a dramatic new score underpinning some of Wallace and Gromit’s action-packed moments, a fun guide to the orchestra, and much more.
Carrot Productions were a The Licensing Awards 2020 Winner for Wallace & Gromit: In Concert
